Location Category Description:
The Snake River originates near the Continental Divide in northwest Wyoming and flows south past the town of Jackson and then enters Idaho. It continues on in an arc across southern Idaho towards the Idaho/Oregon border and then heads north through Hells Canyon up to Lewiston and on to Washington, where eventually it will join with the Columbia River.
